FOR LOVE AND OTHER THINGS

a short film dedicated to the tee.

‘For Love and Other Things’ is a short film and concept created by Hannah Shea, our founder.

This short film was inspired by her unbound love for creating masterful art in the midst of common scenes. She wanted the viewer to forget about the film representing the birth of the ALNTH Tee, and instead feel immersed within a timeless silent film.

When creating this film, there was no doubt that Cole Becker's lens would offer the perfect perspective. Shot on black and white 16mm film on a rainy day in March, as we eagerly awaited the arrival of spring. The film was designed to envelop viewers in the love found within everyday circumstances. It aims to capture the essence of simplicity and beauty, mirroring the experience one can expect while wearing our tee. Each frame is a testament to the timeless allure of life's simple pleasures, inviting our audience to embrace the beauty that surrounds them in every scene.

THE LOVE BEHIND THE TEE

Made by the hands of known artisans.

FOR our ALNTH tee we were lucky enough to work with such a beautiful team of dreamers and creatives. Andrew and his wife, Chloe run their own print making business out of the back of a record store, connecting with artists and bands who either reside in, or are just passing through Portland. Each piece that comes out of their four walls has been stamped with care, and most likely was baptized by late night jokes and the buzz of band practice nearby.

The design behind the tee was born in a coffee shop during a visit with Darcy (DN-A Studio), in North Carolina. Sending sketches back and forth until her words met the photographs just right. Included on the design is the poem dedicated to her, and an ode to her origin story.
